Hard’ack is located at the top of Congress Street. Dogs are permitted on all of the trails, but they should be on a leash and picked up after. There is no specific fee to use Hard’ack, but the hill is funded by fundraising events and donations. Hard’ack is unique in the fact that it offers skiing and snowmaking in a small town setting. Many small town hills have been forced to close over the years, as maintenance costs and insurance became too high. A dedicated group of citizens has worked to keep Hard’ack operational and free. It is run by a Non-Profit whose mission is to provide recreation to Franklin County’s residents. Please consider making a donation to keep it operational for generations to come.
