We want to introduce you to us! Today we will be highlighting Brian, one of our RiseVT Health Coaches.

What is your favorite aspect of RiseVT?

I would say my favorite aspect of RiseVT is the amount of community engagement that is done on a weekly basis. Rise Vermont is always trying to promote events that’re going on within the smaller towns and communities of Franklin and Grand Isle County. This grassroots effort to enact change is what is needed in order for us to succeed towards getting individuals to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

What is your favorite vegetable and how do you like it prepared?

What do you like to do for recreation?

For outdoor recreation, I love to snowboard in the winter and combine that with some hiking to go off the beaten path. In the Summer I love to Mountain Bike and hike as well!

How do you overcome barriers you may face when trying to embrace a healthy lifestyle?

For me my biggest barriers is time constraints when it comes to physical activity as well as nutrition so I make sure I keep telling myself that it NEEDS to be a priority, I don’t give myself the option of choosing something unhealthy or even letting my physical activity or exercise slip if I planned to do it that day. Health needs to be a priority, now more than ever.
