Surrounding the complex and FREE to the public is a:
- 1-1/2 mile walking path
- Running track
- numerous fields
Inside the building you will find a:
- ice skating rink for hockey, stick and puck, figure skating and public skate (winter only)

- wellness room for classes, currently there are 46 classes offered each month!
Collins Perley always offers the first class free to anyone who wants to try out one of the many classes, including spinning, boot camp, strength training, Zumba, tai chi and yoga. Beth Hayford, who oversees the instructors and class schedule, has built up a reputation for her successful Health Challenges. There have been almost 100 participants in each one. She provides weekly check in’s, 1 personal training session with one of the trainers at the gym, unlimited classes and gym membership, weekly forums on a variety of health related topics and this current challenge ends with a 5K that can be walked or ran.
The facility opened in 1985, through the donations from Bessie Perley and Steve Collins, who both wanted to provide a facility for the community and BFA students. When walking around the track, you will often see high school students in PE class or at an after school practice or game. The fields are also used by the Vermont Voltage, Vermont’s professional soccer team.
